Registration of Suppliers under CSPO programme:

Registrations are granted to manufacturing and trading concerns by CSPO for facilitating them to participate in the Govt. purchase programme. These suppliers are taken on the panel of CSPO as approved suppliers for the stores they are registered for. The advantages of the CSPO Registration are as under:

1. The Departments effecting purchase of stores (which are not on rate contract) upto Rs.50,000/- are necessarily required to purchase from the suppliers registered with CSPO.

2. It facilitates Govt. Departments / agencies to invite quotations from the competent suppliers who are registered with CSPO,

3. The registered manufacturing / trading concerns are taken on the mailing list and the relevant enquiries / tenders are sent to them.

The registrations are granted for the following two categories:

1. Manufacturer

2. Authorised Agent / Distributor of Indian Manufacturer

Scope:

The concerns from the following category which are established in business of Manufacturing / Trading for a minimum period of three years.

1. Suppliers registered with NSIC

2. DGS & D Rate contract holders

3. Registered SSI units

4. Traders who are authorised agents / distributors of Indian Manuafacturers

Registering Authority:

Category	Registering Authority
Suppliers from Greater Mumbai and from outside State	CSPO, Directorate of Industries, Mumbai.
Suppliers from rest of Maharashtra	General Manager, District Industries Centre of the concerned district.

Registration Procedure:

The concerns interested to obtain registration as approved supplier under the Govt.'s purchase programme have to file Application with the concerned Registering Authority alongwith the stipulated documents.

The registering authority verifies the credentials of the concern. The commercial capabilities are ascertained after obtaining confidential report from financier bank of the applicant.

The applicants have to furnish letter conveying willingness towards payment of Rs. 10,000/- as registration deposit. After the processing of the application is complete and it is concluded to grant Registration, the applicants are requested to remit the deposit. Registration Certificate is issued by the Central Stores Purchasing Organization after receipt of the registration deposit payment.

The Registration is valid for a period of three years.

Time Limit:

The CSPO Registration is granted within one month from the date of receipt of the report from the financial institution / bank of the applicant.

Note: The list of Registered Suppliers is made available to the Govt. Departments. For Annual purchases below Rs.50,000/- in a financial year for each item, the Purchasing Departments have to obtain minimum three quotations from the suppliers registered with Central Stores Purchase Organization, Govt. of Maharashtra. The Departments have to ensure that the Registration Certificate is valid and the Registration is for the item(s) to be purchased. Items reserved for purchase under rate contracts formed by / for CSPO, MSSIDC, DGS & D, GDPS and Home Department (Jail Department) cannot be purchased under this category.
