Guidelines for issuing Acknowledgement of
Micro, Small and
Medium enterprises Memorandums
Government of
The Central
Govt. may, by notification, appoint, there shall be established, for the
purpose of this Act, a board to be known as the National Board for Micro, Small
and Medium enterprises. A large number
of products are reserved for exclusive manufacture by SSI sector in order to
protect small scale industry from large industry. List of Products
Reserved for SSI.

The Entrepreneur can file the
Memorandum for Micro, Small and Medium with respective District Industries Centre/JDI
(MMR) and can be obtained acknowledgement for proposed set up in prescribed
form Part-I. The
acknowledgement is valid for period of 2 years, there is no further extension
is granted. The promoter(s) are expected to implement the project within this
validity period and after commencement of production they can obtain EM by
filing information in Part-II. If for
any reason, it is not possible to do so, fresh Part- I EM can be obtained
again. If the Entrepreneur is already commenced the production activity, he can
directly submit information in Part-II & obtained acknowledgement.
