Aurangabad
division, known as Marathwada, played a crucial role during the Freedom
Struggle and fought valiantly against the oppressive Nizam regime. The Tulja
Bhavani temple is teeming with people everyday. World-famous Ajanta and
Ellora caves are situated in this division. Aurangabad is also known as
the land of saints. Of the 12 Jyotirlings in the country, three are in this
division. The Remote Sensing Centre of Jalna, Nanded’s Gurudwara,
Renuka Mata at Mahur, Daulatabad fort, Eldari Project, the impressive industrial
development achieved by Aurangabad district, the Latur Pattern of education
and landmark research in agriculture are the distinguished features of this
division. Jowar, cotton, sugarcane, bananas are the main agricultural products
