Wardha
Mahatma Gandhi fell in love with Wardha after visiting it for the first time. Expectedly, he chose Wardha to establish his ashram, Sewagram, which became a holy place for freedom fighters and the public alike. Acharya Vinoba Bhave launched his social movements - Bhoodaan and Gramdaan from Paunar. International Hindi University, where many foreign students come for learning Hindi, is located here. Sewagram, Paunar, Ashti, Geetai temple and Mahakali dam are places of tourist attraction.
