BHAVANGAD FORT.

Bhavangad is a ruined fort 188 feet long by seventy broad, near the village of Khatali four miles south of Kelvi Mahim. It is overgrown with mango, jack and cashewnut trees, and has a large rock-cut hollow for storing grain and a cistern with five feet of water. In 1832 it had water and supplies, but the walls were so ruined that they added nothing to the natural strength of the place.
