PAN TOWER.
Pa'n Tower, in the village of Kelve three miles south of Mahim, was described in 1862 as a place of considerable strength. There was a reservoir of water but no food supplies. [Government List of Civil Forts, 1862.] The fort has the sea to the north and west, and at high tides the Danda creek comes to the walls on the south and east. The fort is 100 feet long and the walls vary from ten to twenty feet high.
